Join as a Supporting Member

The IC2 invites non-governmental organizations (NGOs), businesses, labor groups, and academic programs to join as Supporting Members. Supporting Members are eligible to participate in the IC2 Council and in workgroups and training webinars. To apply for Supporting Membership:

 

IC2 Supporting Members must demonstrate support for:

  • Reducing the use of toxic chemicals or the generation and release of toxic pollutants
  • Promoting environmental sustainability


Once the IC2 has received a Supporting Member Application, the IC2 Board of Directors will review and vote on it. Payment of IC2 dues is not required as part of the application process. If approved, the IC2 will annually invoice the Supporting Member based on the dues structure outlined below.


Benefits of Joining IC2 as a Supporting Member

IC2 Supporting Members benefit through:

  • Sharing ideas and suggestions on implementation of chemical policies and laws, including product reporting and other data gathering activities, phase-outs and bans, and labeling
  • Participating in discussions on implementation of chemical policies with government agencies, the regulated community, NGOs, and academic researchers
  • Assisting with public education
  • Providing input into the ways to measure the impacts of chemical policy initiatives
  • Gaining access to relevant state information and guidance
  • Participating in training workshops
  • Sharing methodologies and resources on such topics as safer alternatives assessments

 

Board Removal of IC2 Supporting Members

The IC2 Board of Directors may withdraw Supporting Member approval based on the following actions by the organization and/or its designated representatives:

  • Demonstrates a lack of support for the mission and goals of the IC2
  • No longer implements programs and activities that are consistent with the IC2 MOA for Supporting Members
  • Is unable or unwilling to fund the Supporting Member annual dues


Such removal requires a majority vote by the Board.


Annual Dues for IC2 Supporting Members

Manufacturers/Retailers (based on sales):

  • Less than $10 million: $200
  • $10 - $100 million: $500
  • $100 - $500 million: $1,500
  • $500 million - $2 billion: $3,000
  • $2 - $5 billion: $4,000
  • Greater than $5 billion: $5,000

 
Law Firms/Consulting Firms (based on total revenue):

  • Less than $10 million: $200
  • $10 - $100 million: $500
  • $100 - $500 million: $1,500
  • $500 million - $2 billion: $3,000
  • $2 - $5 billion: $4,000
  • Greater than $5 billion: $5,000

 
Trade Associations (based on budget):

  • Less than $100,000: $250
  • $100,000 - $500,000: $750
  • $500,000 - $1 million: $1,500
  • $1 - $5 million: $3,000
  • $5 - $25 million: $4,000
  • Greater than $25 million: $5,000

 
Non-governmental Organizations:

  • State-based NGOs: $50
  • National NGOs: $200


Academic Centers/Institutes/Scholars: $200

Individuals: $200
